We will visit the Manatee Rescue Center, where biologists and volunteers take care of manatees in danger of extinction. This Rescue Center also rescues and rehabilitates a variety of other animals. The Iquitos Foundation - Amazon Rescue Center is a joint effort between the Dallas World Aquarium Zoo, the Peruvian Amazon Research Institute and Acobia-DWAzoo, whose purpose is to develop rescue, rehabilitation and release programs for aquatic mammals and fauna wild in danger in Loreto. Their commitment is also to provide an environmental education program and promotion of responsible tourism, contributing to the conservation of the Amazon ecosystem.
The approximate visit time in the center is one hour, during that period you will have a guide who will show you our facilities and explain the rehabilitation process necessary for the release of the rescued Amazon fauna species.

Hours of operation: Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. at 3 p.m.
